Premier Weekend! The Oscars! We run this town.

Tell me why you are or are not a fan of Tim Burton!
Tell me why a raven is like a writing desk!
Tell me why you want to see Brooklyn's Finest!
Tell me why you feel the need to waste hours watching people you will never meet move around a big screen!
Tell me why the cinema plays such a huge role in our current society!
Tell me why those people you will never meet make such large amounts of money!
Tell me why you are watching the Oscars or the Academy Awards!
Tell me why they run this town!

  1. i think tim burton is defnitely played out to be more than he really is. I mean, he's good (dont get me wrong) and i like most his movies but if i got a nickel for every Jack Skeleton hat/tshirt/accessory/blanket/home furnishing.. i would seriously be a multi-billionaire. i will say though i am stoked to see Alice in Wonderland 3D! haha
oh and i watched to Oscars because i was really interested in what awards 'Hurt Locker' would get and let me say i am VERY happy it dominated!

  2. I wanted to see Brooklyn's Finest because it had one of my favorites actors in it, Michael K. Williams. He played Omar Little in The Wire, which is arguably the greatest show in TV history. And they run this town because HOV is a lyrical genius, that's why.

  3. we watch people on tv/the cinema because we vicariously live through other people, because all of their problems get solved in two hours or less, unlike our own, real, lives. Or, if they don't get solved, we can move on from them after the movie or show is over, which effectively still solves it. Also, because they're pretty and funny. which is why i'm on a sex and the city marathon right now.

About Me

I'm only what they've made me. I bend and break to please each one. Each part of me is just a part of them I didn't give back... This is me, I know exactly who I am. There's a story behind every turn life has made, every screw ball I've dodged or... not dodged. While sometimes my story may not always be normal, or cool, or even unique, it is mine, and this is me
